Министр здравоохранения Туниса Мондхер Зенаиди

Mr. Mondher Zenaidi has been Public Health Minister since September 2007. Mr. Zenaidi was born on 24 October 1950 in Tunis. After his secondary education at College Sadiki, he continued his higher education in France where he graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Centrale of Paris in 1973 and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration of Paris in 1976. He started his professional career the same year as a Charge de Mission at the cabinet of the Minister of National Economy.

From 1978 to 1981 , he was the Deputy Director-General of the National Tourism Office.
From 1981 to 1983 , he was the principal private secretary of the Minister of National Economy in Charge of Industry.
In 1983 , he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Tunisian Office of Trade (OCT).
From 1987 to 1988 , he was Secretary of State to the Minister of National Economy in Charge of Industry.
On 30 May 1994 , Mr. Zenaidi was appointed Minister of Transport.
On 13 June 1996 , he became Minister of Trade.
On 24 January 2001 , he became the Minister of Tourism, Leisure and Handicrafts.
On 4 September 2002 , he was appointed Minister for Tourism, Trade and Handicrafts.
On 22 March 2004 , he became Minister of Trade. On 17 August 2005 , he became Minister for Trade and Handicrafts until his recent appointment.
Mr. Mondher Zenaidi led different technical cooperation projects with the International Trade
Centre (ITC), based in Geneva, in the area of import management and export promotion.
He also contributed to dynamising the Tunisian participation in the meeting of the State trade bodies, part of the Organisation of The Islamic Conference (OIC) and the general Assembly of the Association of State Trade Organisations in Developing Countries (ASTRO), which he chaired during the 1986 session. Being an RCD activist, Mr, Zenaidi was elected member of the RCD Central Committee in 1993 and re-elected in August 1998.
Being a member of parliament since 1989 , Mr. Zenaidi was elected Vice-Chairperson of the Chamber of Deputies from 1991 to 1994.
Mr. Zenaid is Grand Officer of the Republican Order and Grand Cordon of the Order of the 7th of November .
